GTA signs enhanced distribution agreement with Preferred Hotel Group

Over 650 Preferred Hotel Group member hotels benefit from additional markets, access to more customers and increased bookings. Opening destinations ‘off the beaten track’ and a ‘long tail’ of hidden gems to travellers.

GTA, one of the world’s largest travel wholesalers, and Preferred Hotel Group, a global provider of sales, marketing and distribution services to independent luxury hotels, have partnered to increase visibility of the Preferred Hotel Group member portfolio among travellers worldwide. The new agreement gives Preferred Hotel Group enhanced distribution opportunities from GTA’s wholesale and retail HTML and XML systems, its expertise and a global network of over 2,300 local professionals worldwide.

The partnership will help raise awareness of more than 650 properties that are represented within the Preferred Hotel Group family of brands. With tens of thousands of travel bookings daily, GTA will give independent hoteliers access to previously untapped marketplaces and more guests. GTA will now begin integrating Preferred Hotel Group systems before going live for bookings.

GTA’s dynamic inventory approach to such partnerships strengthens its connections with hotel suppliers and those who sell travel. It gives them and their consumer client’s access to a chain’s full portfolio of properties including the ‘long tail’ of less well-known accommodation. With travellers increasingly seeking out newer destinations off the beaten track, GTA can help hotels tap the popularity of experiential tourism. In the last three years alone, deals with 69 chains have added more than 29,000 properties to the inventory that agents and tour operators can sell on.
