Hotel Nikko celebrates 25 years in San Francisco

Room renovations, Health Club update, "Silver Anniversary" prix-fixe menu announced.

SAN FRANCISCO – Hotel Nikko announced they have been serving the city of San Francisco for 25 years, hitting the mark for their “Silver Anniversary.” The milestone anniversary celebration took place yesterday, with an exclusive invite-only event to dignitaries and long-time hotel supporters, and comes on the heels of recent renovations to rooms, the health club, Restaurant ANZU, and meeting space.

Hotel Nikko San Francisco is the only property bearing the chain’s name in the United States and has retained the same owner and same management company for all of its 25 years in business. There are a total of 78 Nikko and Okura properties worldwide.

“Since opening in 1987, over 5 million people have been welcomed as guests at Hotel Nikko, and we’ve provided them with a lasting impression of the great city of San Francisco,” says Joseph Curran, Vice President, Marketing. “We look forward to continuing our contribution to the travel and tourism industry of San Francisco.”

In the past 25 years, Hotel Nikko has been consistently voted one of the Bay Area’s “Best Places to Work” by their own employees. The hotel has also made extensive updates in order to receive green business certifications, notably earning the US EPA’s Energy Star for nine years running.  Additionally, thousands of hours of service and in-kind donations to local philanthropies have been given, prompting the professional Convention Managers Association to honor Hotel Nikko with their 2012 PCMA Service Award, and California Hotel and Lodging Association the 2010 CH&LA Community Service Award.

In celebration of this special occasion, Hotel Nikko has created a special “Silver Anniversary” prix-fixe menu that is offered from today, October 12th through the end of November at Restaurant ANZU, located inside the hotel.
