Lavu breaks ground with new iPad hospitality management system featured on Ramsay's Hotel Hell

Lavu Hospitality applies modern technology to the hotel industry with iPads and Cloud Computing. Chef Gordon Ramsay promotes Lavu Hospitality on Hotel Hell to improve featured hotel's operations.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Lavu Inc. has entered a new market with Lavu Hospitality: a modern iPad POS solution for hotel management, online reservations, lobby services, payments and guest database.

Lavu Hospitality is an extension for Lavu’s popular iPad point of sale, which is currently being used in 85 countries. Hotel management features are accessed through the same dashboard as the point of sale, simplifying routine procedures and combining reports for improved efficiency.

The new product was featured on chef Gordon Ramsay‘s prime time television show Hotel Hell as a solution to help failing hotel owners get organized with intuitive integrated business management tools. Lavu iPad POS has appeared on six episodes of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on Fox TV. The choice to include Lavu Hospitality in the makeover improvement for Ramsay’s Hotel Hell was natural, providing solutions for business owners to simplify procedures for improved success.

Lavu Hospitality connects via wireless technologies to various hospitality services on site, providing access to secure cloud data. Lobby services including customer reception and check in/out are connected to online reservations and room service options. Online reservations populate in real-time to all front of house terminals. Room service charges are automatically applied to guest’s bills, as are restaurant tabs and – potentially – spa treatments and other hospitality services.

“We’ve incorporated the ease-of-use interface that people have come to expect from Lavu, and applied that to features like hotel check-in, room service, and customer facilitation,” said Alex Gibbs, VP of Product Development. “The potential is intriguing, but even with this initial release, Lavu Hospitality is a truly modern solution for hotel management.”

Lavu Hospitality includes marketing opportunities tied to the guest history and information database to encourage repeat business. Using the guest information database, Lavu clients can automate email offers with discounts for upcoming activities, annual events, birthday and anniversary greetings that include coupons for return visits.
