Marriott continues to monitor Hurricane Ivan and is working closely with the authorities in areas that may be affected by the storm.
As of 3:00 p.m. (EDT) Tuesday, September 14, two Marriott properties in the Cayman Islands are temporarily closed, and four Marriott hotels in Florida and two in Alabama, have been asked to evacuate. These hotels will remain closed until local authorities advise that they may reopen:
- Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort (temporarily closed)
- Courtyard Grand Cayman (temporarily closed)
- Courtyard Gulf Shores Craft Farms
- Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa
- Bay Point Marriott Resort, Golf & Yacht Club
- Marriott`s Legends Edge at Bay Point
- Residence Inn Pensacola Downtown
- Springhill Suites Pensacola Beach
In addition, the following hotels remain temporarily closed as a result of Hurricane Frances:
- Hutchison Island Marriott Beach Resort and Marina
- Courtyard Hutchinson Island Oceanside
