The Hotel Barsey by Warwick has entered a new era: "The Avenue" Restaurant & Bar opens its doors

2016 marks a new page for the Hotel Barsey by Warwick at its famous address on Avenue Louise. After renovating its rooms last year as its meeting spaces, today the restaurant, the bar and the hotel lobby have a fresh look.

BRUSSELS – After months of work and hundreds of thousands euros invested, the restaurant of one of the finest boutique hotels in the Belgian capital reopens to the gourmets’ delight. To mark the turning point in its history, the hotel unveils a new visual identity and a new name: Hotel Barsey by Warwick.

To complete this rejuvenation, the Hotel Barsey by Warwick would entrust its restaurant only to such a talented and famous chef as Gaetan Colin. Welcome @The Avenue!

“The Hotel Barsey by Warwick is part of our international Collection of hotels: prime location on Avenue Louise, 99 modern and cozy, refined and trendy decor and fine dining: our Group DNA is there. The name change and new logo are the markers of renewal and accentuate the boutique dimension to the vision of the hotel we want to convey to our guests“, says Jean-Marie Pebrel, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of Warwick International Hotels Europe. He pursues: “We are very pleased to have found partners, Chef Gaetan Colin and interior designer Didier Benderli who were able to understand and transcribe our hotel’s vision.”

The renovation has indeed been entrusted to the Parisian interior designer Didier Benderli (Kerylos Agency – Paris). The lobby, restaurant and bar area have undergone a complete transformation. The garden terrace is a superb asset in fine weather, away from the bustle of Avenue Louise, while in winter, the restaurant’s fireplace and stately chimney accentuates the atmosphere composed of contemporary colors and trendy materials (soft green, dove gray, gold, black and cream velvet). The atmosphere is truly art deco.

In the restaurant, a new menu has been born, made with the enthusiasm and creativity of Gaetan Colin. He offers a play on modern brasserie, tinged with belgitude, but also exotic notes. Whether you are looking for authentic Belgian brasserie or bistro contemporary cuisine, the restaurant team is able to respond to the desires of the most demanding.

Benjamin Masson is the Executive Chef of The Avenue, a brilliant young chef discovered at the Brasserie de la Villa Lorraine and the Brasserie Classico, famous Belgian foodie spots. He will be supported by a brigade which should ultimately be comprised of fifteen people.

The Avenue also incorporates a bar in which a mixologist rivals creativity along with sommelier Lionel Verjans. Many wines offered by the glass, a selection of whiskeys and gins delight fans who come here to enjoy The Avenue’s comfort and unique atmosphere.

The renovation of the Hotel Barsey by Warwick and the new restaurant concept deployed are part of a Warwick International Hotels’ collective will to provide a memorable experience in terms of accommodation and dining to guests and attract international travelers and locals.

The Warwick International Hotels Collection attracts and targets the discerning and intrepid traveler who seeks luxurious comforts, genuine service and an authentic experience in a stay that makes it that much more memorable and unique.

With its 99 rooms and suites and The Avenue restaurant, transformed and led by renowned Chef, the Hotel Warwick Barsey enters a delicious new era.
