Worldspan, announced that it is the first global distribution system to integrate content from Global Hotel Reservation Systems (GHRS), a provider of small- and medium-sized properties in major European cities that specialize in Italian properties. GHRS has joined the Worldspan system as a participant in Integrated Hotel Source, Worldspan`s highest level of connectivity providing last-room availability and real-time booking capabilities directly through a hotel company`s internal reservations system.
GHRS deployed XML technology, the industry`s state-of-the-art messaging tool, to create a unique direct XML to XML connection to Worldspan`s systems. GHRS is the first supplier to implement this new technology interface with Worldspan, further demonstrating Worldpan`s continued efforts to deliver efficiencies and cost savings to customers.
