The Site Master Motivator award recognizes an individual in the motivational events and incentive travel industry who serves as an ambassador of progress and betterment for the community.
The highest standard of excellence from Site was presented to Fernando Compean, CMM CITE, CMP, CMS, CIS during the IMEX Gala Awards night in Frankfurt, Germany, 22 May 2013. The Site Master Motivator award recognizes an individual in the motivational events and incentive travel industry who serves as an ambassador of progress and betterment for the community.
“As the recipient of the Site Master Motivator award, Fernando embodies all that is good about our industry. He is a passionate professional who has achieved much for him, but never at the expense of others. He is committed to the professional growth of others in our industry,” commented David Sand, Site President 2013. “The recently launched Site Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) program was his inspiration and will no doubt touch and grow many incentive professionals around the world.”
In addition to being CEO & President of Avanti Meetings & Incentives, Mexico City, Mexico, Fernando also owns meetings and events media company Mundo Editorial, S.A. de C.V. For a two-year period Fernando was President of the Mexican Tourism Press Association. He is also considered one of the most knowledgeable and influential leaders in the incentive and events industry of Mexico, and the most prolific writer on this topic in Latin America with four on-going publications and three published books. He holds six industry certifications and has designed two industry certifications, including the Site CIS. Under his leadership, the Site Mexico Chapter came alive and was recognized with the Site Chapter of the Year award in 2012.
