Tourism today is changing and there is a growing global demand for participatory, in-depth, behind the scenes experiences.

In keeping with this tourism trend Ecolife has recently introduced three such expeditions for the leisure market to compliment its highly successful student programs.

The Ecolife experience gives clients the opportunity to witness life in theAfrican bush: the excitement, the wonderful lifestyle, the successes and the problems.

Not only is EcoLife accommodating the `new era tourist` but they are aiding in educating the world about the realities involved with wildlife in Africa today, says Professor Wouter van Hoven, from the Center of Wildlife Management of the University of Pretoria.

Through this initiative our wildlife has a far greater chance of survival, van Hoven added.

Visiting different reserves, a rehabilitation center and reptile park, guests interact with game rangers, researchers, veterinarians and game capture team members thereby getting an insight into the work being done at ground level.

Guests also visit community development projects where the advantages and successes are clear and have the opportunity to enjoy African culture.

Corporate getaways and family expeditions are also available, says Peter Morrison, Ecolife`s Marketing Executive.
