airBaltic and PayPal team up

The Latvian flagship carrier decided to partner with PayPal as a secure payments ecosystem provider in order to offer unique travel opportunities to ever more customers interested in international trips to any of its 60 destinations.

Global payment provider PayPal and Latvian national airline airBaltic launched their cooperation and introduced the SeatSale campaign, active until April 15th. After this time and until April 30th, all customers who decide to book a flight and pay with PayPal will not have to pay airBaltic transaction fees.

The Latvian flagship carrier decided to partner with PayPal as a secure payments ecosystem provider in order to offer unique travel opportunities to ever more customers interested in international trips to any of its 60 destinations.

“PayPal has made online and mobile payments a way of life for its customers around the world. We are happy to now help airBaltic further develop its customer experience by making it safer and quicker to pay and send money” says Damien Perillat, Managing Director of PayPal. “Moreover, we believe the SeatSale campaign will provide great added-value for consumers already thinking about their future holiday plans and searching for interesting destinations.”

Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “Our customer is the main focus for us at airBaltic – both when we introduce new routes linking the Baltic region with Western Europe and Scandinavia, and when we improve our service by opening up a new payment option that our customers prefer.”

The special offer will be available for all airBaltic destinations, including such cities as Rome, Dubrovnik, Nice and Barcelona. Customers who decide to purchase a flight from airBaltic and pay with PayPal, will enjoy a fast, easy and convenient payment service ahead of their holidays.

There is no minimum purchase price or special code for customers – the only requirement is to buy tickets using PayPal. The SeatSale campaign itself is airBaltic’s biggest sales campaign to date. It is also compatible with other promotions, discounts and sales offered by the airline. All payments processed by PayPal will be available in local currencies (PLN, USD, CZK, GBP, DKK, SEK, NOK and CHF) to make the whole payment process even easier.
