Amadeus has completed the implementation of SITA’s automated rules system which allows fares information sent by SITA to be automatically uploaded into the Amadeus system. This means airlines and travel agents will always have access to the latest, most accurate, price information for airlines distributing their fares via SITA.

According to Claude Demeestere, Amadeus Director and Head of Product Management, The implementation followed a rigorous assessment of SITA’s automated rules product and we are now fully confident that our customers will have the information they need quickly.

David Brett, President, Amadeus Asia Pacific, said: This latest step which allows the rapid integration of SITA’s information into our own system will be very beneficial to our customers in Asia Pacific, as many airlines in this region distribute their fare information via SITA. Through this integrated approach, Amadeus can make fare processing more efficient for airlines and travel agencies alike, and further strengthen our position as a true technology partner both regionally and globally.

A recent independent global survey of travel agents[1] revealed that Amadeus had 10% more ‘very satisfied’ respondents than its nearest competitor, within the category of GDS’ fares accuracy and reliability. “As a leader in automated processing and accuracy of data, we are committed to ensuring that all our customers have access to the latest pricing information when they need it,” added Demeestere.
