Baneasa Airport: 2.5m. euros investment in a terminal for charter and VIP flights

The first modernizing stage of Aurel Vlaicu – Baneasa Airport requires 2.5m. euros investment for setting up the terminal for charter and VIP flights, stated Anca Boagiu, Minister of Transport.

The capacity of the terminal will be of 30,000 passengers per year. The terminal will become operational before Christmas and the work will be completed by February next year.

At the building’s floor there will be an area for managing passengers’ flows and upstairs there will be a multifunctional area which will include boarding hall for business meetings, one for presentations, relaxing area and space for organizing press conferences. More, a car parking will also be available in the VIP area.

The auction for carrying out the feasibility study in order to turn Baneasa Airport in an airport for business flights will take place in December.
