Tall ship sailing specialist Star Clippers has teamed up with Kirker Holidays to offer a new flexible tailor-made selection of land-cruise holidays for summer 2012. The cruises are on board one of three Star Clippers tall ships, combining short stays in some of Kirker Holidays’ recommended hotels in fascinating cities around the Mediterranean.
29th July – Venice to Rome, 16 nights `cruise and stay’
Departing 29th July 2012, Star Clippers has a 16 nights cruise from Venice including 2 nights B&B accommodation in Hotel Splendid before embarking on board the five-masted, 227-passenger Royal Clipper. The 11-night voyage cruises through Piran, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, Sicily, Capri, Ponza before disembarking in the majestic city of Rome, where guests will stay for 3 nights at Hotel Capo d’Africa.
10th Oct – Spain & Morocco, 10 nights cruise and stay
Departing 10th October 2012, Star Clippers is offering a magnificent 7 night round-trip cruise from Malaga. Before setting sail on the 170-passenger square-rigger, Star Flyer, guests will spend 3 nights at The Ambassador Hotel in Madrid. The ship then cruises from Malaga, and spends a day at sea before stopping off at the beautiful ports of Casablanca and Tangier in Morocco, Cadiz with an optional tour of Seville, Gibraltar and Motril, Spain before disembarking in Malaga.
19th Oct – Athens to Malta, 8 nights cruise and stay
Spend 8 nights on board the 170-passenger square-rigger, Star Clipper as it sails from Athens to Malta for arrival on 19th October 2012, including 1 night pre cruise stay in Athens and a two night post cruise stay in Malta. The ship sails to the picturesque ports of Monemvasia and Pilos in Greece, both relatively untouched by tourism, followed by a day at sea in which to relax on the warm teak decks, enjoying the autumn sunshine. There’s a day in historic Syracuse, Sicily, before arriving in Malta on October 25.
27th Oct – Rome to Casablanca, 10 nights cruise and stay
Departing from Rome on 27th October 2012, the company’s flagship, the five-masted, 227-passenger Royal Clipper sails to the picturesque port of Bonifacio, Corsica before cruising to the Balearic Islands of Spain and Safi, Morocco before disembarking in Casablanca, Morocco. After disembarkation, guests will have a two night’s stay in a Riad Kniza (double room) in Marrakech, including a private guided tour of the marvelous city before returning to Gatwick airport on 6th November 2012.
2nd Nov – Casablanca to Lisbon, 6 nights cruise and stay
For arrival on 2nd November 2012, Star Clippers has a two night pre-cruise stay in Marrakech with a private half-day walking tour followed by a 4 night sailing from Casablanca, Morocco arriving at Lisbon, Portugal on 8th November 2012 on board the 170-passenger square-rigger, Star Clipper.
