The first world class exhibition venue, the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) is to be opened in February 2003 in the centre of Kiev. This development is important for the event industry in Ukraine as, until now, the country did not have a truly modern exhibition centre. With the Ukrainian economy growing at a fast pace, demand is high for such a venue. ITE Group Plc is a partner and investor in this development as it strives to provide better facilities for its clients.
ITE Travel Exhibitions is making a focused attempt to develop the MICE market in Ukraine. It has been organising Uitt, Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, for 5 consecutive years. Uitt is the only all encompassing travel show in the country representing airlines, cruise lines, hotels, national tourist boards, tour operators and travel agencies. With a population of approximately 50 million, the Ukraine is the largest country in the region, after Russia, with huge potential for outbound travel. Uitt features over 30 countries, annually bringing major destinations for the meeting with local industry players.
Uitt 2003 is taking advantage of the completed first stage of development of the new venue. Purpose built for exhibitions with all the modern facilities, IEC will offer easy access by road and metro and ample parking. Its layout allows for greater flexibility in stand construction; it will have excellent freight/goods access, modern loading/unloading facilities and warehouses.
The first 10 200sqm net pavilion of the International Exhibition Centre is to be opened at the end of 2002. The next stage is the addition of two more pavilions of 2,500m² each later in 2003. A business centre, hotels, warehouses, extra car parking, restaurants and other amenities will be completed in the near future.
Ends.
Ukraine International Travel & Tourism will be held on April 2-5, 2003 in Ukraine International Exhibition Centre.
