Vueling has just been declared Passenger Airline of the Year by Amsterdam airport, in a competition that has seen Vueling succeed out of a list of more than 120 competing carriers operating at Schiphol airport. Vueling has been recognized by Amsterdam’s airport for its distinctive way of entrepreneurship.
The airline has made a major contribution to the development of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol since the beginning of operations in October 2005. The company continues its international expansion plans in The Netherlands.
On May 16th, Vueling will launch two daily flights between Amsterdam and Paris Charles de Gaulle. Furthermore, the new generation Airline will fly from Amsterdam to Malaga three times a week from May 17th, and from Amsterdam to Alicante four times a week from May 18th.
These three new routes will take Vueling’s network out of Amsterdam to six destinations, together with the already existing Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia routes.
Picking up the prize in Amsterdam, Alfons Claver, Vueling’s International Sales and Marketing Director, said: “The Dutch have been faithful Vueling customers since the start up of our Amsterdam operation. They have supported our unique formula of competitive prices and top quality service ever since, and this prize is a living testimony to it. For a company that started operations in this country barely one and half years ago, having attained this degree of recognition out of 120 competing carriers is both a sign of achievement and, at the same time, a great encouragement to keep ourselves on the track of the work well done. Vueling is not stopping here but expanding in the Netherlands.”
