Type22 received a framework contract for twelve Scan&Fly units at Helsinki Airport and Oulu Airport with the possibility of an extension. Turku Airport will follow later. So the next logical step for Finavia is two-stop Self Bag Drop, where passengers first print a bag tag at a kiosk (or at home) before they drop their bags at Scan&Fly. Passengers and airport benefit because the occupation time of the check-in facility is minimum, which means more capacity on the existing check-in isles.
