Innovation on display at ATC Global 2013

Over 140 international suppliers will showcase the latest products, services and technological advancements for the Air Traffic Control Industry.

LONDON – The 23rd ATC Global Exhibition and Conference will welcome a range of suppliers from across the industry to the Amsterdam RAI from 12-14 March as it continues to innovate for another year.

Over 70 out of more than 140 exhibitors are exclusive to ATC Global 2013, highlighting the event as the premium place to do business, meet with industry professionals from across the ATM sector and discover the latest technologies and products. With representation from over 107 countries to-date already registered to attend ATC Global visitors are guaranteed unrivalled opportunities to build business partnerships and exchange business critical information over the three days.

Exhibitors confirmed for 2013 include ITT Exelis, Northrop Grumman, Intelcan, Azimut, Leosphere, Vaisala, Moog Fernau, Barco, Guntermann & Drunck, Schmid Telecom, Era A.S, Comsoft, Korea Airports Corp., Tern Systems, Rohde & Schwarz, Southern Avionics, VNIIRA and many others.

Highlights at the exhibition will include NITA’s ALPHA ATC system, a multi-purpose system to enable control at all stages of flight including take off, climb, approach, and control along the whole route will also be on display. It is designed for ATC centres in high and medium air traffic intensity environments. WIDE will introduce Gen5, the next generation ATC display that has many new innovations that will change the ATC display market for good.

Additionally, the M800IP MULTIFONO radio and telephone Voice Communication System (VCS) will be showcased at this year’s show, a SITTI top level VOIP platform, which integrates IP Network requirements and the latest technological achievements with user friendliness at Operator and Maintenance levels. ATM professionals will see these brand new technologies along with many more at ATC Global this March.

Continuing the theme of innovation and excellence a highlight of this year’s event will be the ATC Global Excellence Awards, taking place on the Tuesday evening at the VIP Gala dinner, one of the most hotly contested awards will be the Outstanding Contribution to the next generation of ATM Systems. Finalists shortlisted for the award are Cranfield University, ICAO/ Namibia Directorate of Civil Aviation, Honeywell, SELEX ES, Thales Air Systems and Snowflake Software.

The ATC Global exhibition will also feature a comprehensive free education programme that includes key sessions led by organisations such as UVS International, ITT Exelis, Thales, EUROCAE, Open Geospatial Consortium amongst others. In-depth workshop topics include Integration of RPAS into civil airspace; Writing ATM ground standards for SES development; Providing safe and immediate ATM services in the aftermath of natural disasters and Challenges and benefits of automating the ATM system.
