Omnia, the Dubai Media City-based integrated marketing and design solutions consultancy, has been appointed by Dubai Maritime City, the maritime centre, to redevelop its website.
Omnia is to review the existing website and devise a forward strategy that will initially involve a re-design of the site and lead to the development of an on-site community for Dubai Maritime City residents and partners.
“We believe a phased approach to the project will enable the site to simultaneously be re-developed while catering to Dubai Maritime City’s immediate needs,” said Adam Booth, Managing Director, Omnia. “Components in the on-site community will also be released in a phased manner”.
The project is divided into four main phases. The first phase will be informative and involve the total re-design and updating of the site. The second phase will concentrate on driving sales and will be highly interactive with investors and partners. Phase three, the foundation of the community portal, will focus on development of an intranet and extranet while the final phase, a second stage community site, will include several interactive elements such as a user portal, classified advertisements, promotions, email list, message boards, calendars, news letter and web links.

Omnia has a growing Middle East portfolio of clients, which includes Royal Jet, the Abu Dhabi-based luxury aviation travel provider, the General Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Municipality, Sony, Empost and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).
