The prestigious award was accepted by Keith Hunter, Senior Vice President, Qatar Duty Free, on behalf of the organisation in a VIP studded ceremony at The Lancaster Hotel in London.
DOHA – Qatar Duty Free, the second largest Duty Free operator in the Middle East recently won the title of Travel Retailer of The Year at the Duty Free News International (DFNI) Global Awards for Travel-Retail Excellence that took place in London, part of the DFNI Charity Fiesta 2013, beating the likes of Dubai Duty Free and Nuance Watson, who were also shortlisted for the category.
Qatar Duty Free earned the award for receiving the highest number of worldwide votes from the travel retail industry for setting new standards of excellence in product offering and service.

Qatar Duty Free first won this award in 2010, along with the title of the Middle East Travel Retailer of The Year. This year, the Middle East Travel Retailer award is scheduled to be held in at the TFWA Singapore event in May 2013.
