With the installation of PRESSPOiNTS in Bangkok (Thailand) and Hong Kong (China), PEPC<.> Worldwide has now launched its innovative newspaper distribution concept in Asia. The PRESSPOiNT(tm), PEPC's self-contained interactive kiosk, currently prints, on demand, the latest edition of 65 newspapers from 35 countries around the world. Over the next several months, PEPC plans to install 200 PRESSPOiNTS throughout Asia at high traffic, international locations. PEPC expects to have installed over a 1.000 PRESSPOiNTS globally by the end of this year.

While expanding its global network of PRESSPOiNTS, PEPC is teaming up with a growing number of international publishers. Most recently Dong A Ilbo (South Korea), El Comercio (Peru) and Tiempos del Mundo (Costa Rica) joined the PEPC Publishers Network. PEPC's publishing partners represent leading national and international dailies such as the International Herald Tribune, The Miami Herald (USA), The Atlanta Journal & Constitution (USA), El Pais (Spain), Il Giornale (Italy), Die Welt (Germany) and El Economista (Mexico).

Easily accessible, the PRESSPOiNT(tm) is conveniently located at upscale hotels, airports, convention centers and on cruise ships. The placement of machines is arranged through local companies, certified as "Official PEPC Dealers". The PEPC Dealers are responsible for the sales, service and maintenance of all PRESSPOiNTS in their designated areas. PEPC has currently established 31 Official PEPC Dealerships in 20 countries.

In Asia, PEPC has established dealerships in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The first Thai PRESSPOiNT(tm) was installed at the Sofitel Central Grand Plaza in Bangkok. This week two more PRESSPOiNTS will be installed in Bangkok – one at the 1300 room Imperial Queen's Park Hotel and the other at the Novotel on Siam Square. China's first PRESSPOiNT(tm) was installed at the New World Renaissance Hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

"Looking at the increasing pace of the roll out in Asia, we see that the choice for satellite distribution of the newspaper files is really proving its added value", says Raoul Maphar, CEO of PEPC Worldwide. "Our satellite network covers 99,1 % of the world's population and enables the PRESSPOiNT(tm), no matter where it is located in the world, to receive newspapers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
