Improve customer engagement with new WiFi solution: Connect2Social

A new intelligent marketing solution for the hospitality, travel and tourism industry.

A new intelligent business solution that allows business owners to engage with customers using free WiFi access is now available in a cost-effective format accessible to even the smallest of business models, from retail to hospitality, with installation and setup taking as little as 30 minutes.

Connect2Social essentially offers a free public WiFi solution for hotels, airports, restaurants, conference centres, retail outlets and even cities, allowing one-to-one communication with individual customers in real-time via email and social media networks.

Connect2Social works with existing routers or hardware infrastructure through a simple interface, providing public WiFi hotspot software with a login method that utilises social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, thereby improving customer engagement and communication in a real-time setting.

The rapidly changing face of marketing and advertising, coupled with the rise of social media for day to day communications means hotels and any customer-centric business from transportation providers to cities and airports, need to change the way they communicate with customers. Communication is a-la-minute, instant and online.

“It is common practice for businesses to spend vast amounts of money on marketing to attract new customers, but often they take their existing customers for granted,” said Connect2Social’s chief operating officer, Darren Brodie.

“The great thing about Connect2Social is our ability to help businesses engage one-on-one with valued existing customers; after all it is six times cheaper to keep the customers we already have than to find new ones. It also helps business owners comply with data collection laws that cannot be achieved by issuing passwords or providing open access to Wi-Fi users”, he continued.

Everyone expects WiFi access, and generally free access, wherever they are. Hotel reservations are made on the basis of free WiFi availability; diners walk into a restaurant and immediately ask for the WiFi password. Smart cities offer WiFi access.  Imagine the ability for the hotel, restaurant or indeed any outlet offering free WiFi to be able to communicate with those guests as soon as they log on, to drive sales whilst they are sitting there, placing their order or shopping in the outlet.

Connect2Social offers just that.

Connect2Social encourages users to follow the establishment’s social media accounts in return for access thereby widening reach, and creating a solid base of followers from the target audience. Everyone who logs onto the Connect2Social network is asked to LIKE the Facebook page or follow Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram in return for access. They don’t have to, but the majority will.

Just one of the tools available with Connect2Social is the ability to market in real-time to the very customers sitting in the hotel lobby, or the restaurant.  For example, the portal can be set up with an automatic e-shot targeting every customer connecting to WiFi via Connect2Social, with information on daily specials, a voucher or anything else to be communicated.  Tailored analytics allow audience

Identification and segmentation, the creation of personalised marketing campaigns plus a wealth of other intuitive features.

Fully compliant with data collection laws in line with industry best practice, the WiFi network is completely secure and customer privacy protected at all times.
