Washington Dulles Marriott Suites overhauls meeting spaces for productive conferences

Herndon meeting rooms feature new carpet, wall coverings and lighting to spur thoughtful Washington conferences.

HERNDON, VA. – Business is anything but usual these days at the Washington Dulles Marriott Suites. The hotel has recently completed a comprehensive renovation of its Herndon meeting rooms and pre-function spaces. With new carpet, refreshed wall coverings and a new lighting strategy, the Marriott Suites is sure to be a key conference location in Herndon, Virginia. Additionally, high-tech accessories and new seating clusters in the pre-function and executive boardrooms will increase meeting efficiency and place attendees in a position to maximize productivity.

The reinvented spaces are set apart from the Herndon hotel’s primary common areas and features private bathrooms and an exclusive business center. Once a group is set up, it’s full speed ahead with few distractions. The remodel project focused on implementing a unique, relaxing color palette that was specifically designed to ensure a soothing, calming ambiance for high-caliber meetings and brainstorming sessions.

“These changes are more than just cosmetic,” said Kristen Murphy, general manager of the hotel. “With natural light, high-speed wireless Internet access and a private business center, our recent renovations bring a tangible value to corporate guests who are in town to accomplish lofty goals in a successful business climate.”

In an effort to match the ethos of the new state-of-the-art facilities, the Marriott Suites is offering an iPad mini to meeting leaders who book 75 cumulative rooms over select value dates. This technology, combined with Marriott’s versatile Red Coat Direct meeting app, connects guests with event planning services at the touch of a screen. Mobile check-in and check-out services are also available for the convenience of business professionals.

Before and after strategic planning sessions or intimate board meetings, guests can relax in one of the hotel’s 253 spacious suites, which feature separate living and sleeping rooms in addition to comfortable pull-out sofas. Large work desks with ergonomic chairs encourage productivity, while high-speed Internet access and 42-inch flat-panel TVs keep travelers well-connected and entertained. Safes, microwaves, mini refrigerators, Thann bathroom amenities and irons and ironing boards are among other amenities guests will appreciate during their stay.

A complimentary shuttle service makes getting transportation to and from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) an effortless proposition.

In addition to the complete remodel of its meeting spaces, the hotel has plans to complete renovations on The Grill Room restaurant before the end of the year. Finished with the same tones and colors as the meeting rooms, The Grill Room will keep business travelers well-nourished with healthy and hearty offerings during extended conferences and gatherings in Herndon.
