2011 European Golf Business Conference heads for Spain

The European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA) has confirmed, that the 2011 edition of the European Golf Business Conference will be held at the Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa in Marbella, Spain. The Conference will take place from 30. November – 2. December 2011.

The announcement follows the recent  launch of the Spanish Golf Course Owners Association (SGCOA). The first gathering of this new organisation took place during the Club Managers Conference in Madrid (31. March – 2. April 2011).

EGCOA Director, Lodewijk Klootwijk said: “Spain is the perfect destination for this year’s EGCOA Conference. It ties in very well with our recent announcement of the new Spanish Owners Association. The Don Carlos has an unparalleled range of facilities to make our attendees feel very much at home. With its fine weather, great location and reputation for high-quality service, Spain was an easy choice. This promises to be our best Conference ever!”

The EGCOA Conference, now into its 6th year, is fast becoming a major event for golfing industry players of all levels, and is a once-a-year opportunity to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments in the European and worldwide golf arena. Each year, the EGCOA Conference seeks to address issues of common interest to all levels of the golf industry, from course owners, club managers, suppliers, national and European golf bodies and golf course architects, to industry partners and the golf media.
