ABTA to increase focus on Member Services

ABTA is to increase its focus on Member Services in 2005…

ABTA is to increase its focus on Member Services in 2005. Victoria Poland, ABTA`s Manager of Member Services will oversee a project, which will result in each Member having its own appointed ABTA staff contact within the Member Services team and a direct line for assistance.

The initiative comes as ABTA restructures its Management Team following the resignation of Head of Policy and Member Services, Stephen Alcock. He will not be replaced at this time, and from 1 February the six staff currently delivering Member Services will report to Keith Betton, Head of Corporate Affairs. They will be joined by Dennis Ashby, Manager of the Members` Information Bureau and one of his team. The two staff working on Policy Issues will report to ABTA`s Chief Executive, Ian Reynolds until further notice.

Commenting on the changes, Ian Reynolds said: We have known for some time that Stephen wanted to stand down from his responsibilities this year. We thank him for the great job he has done in leading Policy and Member Services and the initiatives he has introduced in the last nine years. We wish him every success together with continuing health and happiness in the future. With the start of a new year we are going to refocus to introduce a greater level of Member contact. Keith Betton will manage the Member Services Department and Victoria Poland will drive the project that will see ABTA proactively calling Members to ensure they are getting the most from their membership.

Victoria Poland said: We know that many Members are simply unaware of some of the benefits ABTA offers them, and by helping them in this way we can increase the value of membership while helping their businesses.
