ACTE and BATM partner for strategic account management forum

ACTE and the Belgian Association of Corporate Travel Management (BATM) are partnering for an Executive Forum on 10 March 2008 at the PULLMAN Brussels Airport Hotel. At the ACTE Executive Forum, buyers and suppliers will each have an individual platform to discuss the successes and challenges of Strategic Account Management for Corporate Travel.

Keynote presenter, Andreas Erhard, Director Global Account Management, EMEA, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, will discuss the importance of Strategic Account Management along with critical success factors.

"Strategic Account Management is important to both large and small organizations, as it significantly impacts a company’s future viability, particularly under current economic conditions," Susan Gurley, ACTE Executive Director, said. "With our strategic partner in Belgium, BATM, ACTE is pleased to bring a solutions-based workshop to buyers and suppliers in a unique and meaningful forum."

"We are pleased to be partnering with ACTE once again in bringing vital topics of interest to the business travel industry in Belgium," Nora Buysschaert, BATM President, said. "We hope attendees will leave the forum with a new industry-wide perspective, as well as practical solutions for maintaining customer relationships through Strategic Account Management."

Two separate breakout workshops will be offered at this Executive Forum, one for suppliers only and one for buyers only, with each identifying the realities, pitfalls, challenges and successes of Strategic Account Management. Xavier d’Houart, European Travel Center Manager, Atlas Copco, is the moderator for the supplier workshop, and Melvin van Wingerden, Global Account Management Development, AirPlus, will head the buyer workshop.
