Anne Sallee appointed Executive Director of Superior Small Lodging Association of Florida

The Superior Small Lodging Association of Florida has announced the appointment of Anne Sallee as their new Executive Director.

UNITED STATES – The Superior Small Lodging Association of Florida has announced the appointment of Anne Sallee as their new Executive Director. She assumed responsibilities on August 1, 2017, and succeeded Scott Rivelli who has stepped down after four years of dedicated service to the association.

Anne Sallee has been active in South Florida for 22 years, working in law, government and hospitality. In 2014, after retiring from law and government, Anne was hired by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) as Regional Director of their Broward County Chapter. Under her leadership, FRLA Broward Chapter membership and community awareness of the organization grew dramatically.

She was recently recognized as a Broward Hospitality Leader by the South Florida Business Journal, for her leadership and efforts advocating for one of Florida's most significant industries. She will continue to work extensively with the many industry partners across the state to promote, protect and educate the hospitality community in Florida as the Executive Director of Superior Small Lodging of Florida.

"To say that we are very fortunate to have attracted a leader of this caliber would be an understatement. Anne Sallee's experience and skills will enable the Superior Small Lodging Association of Florida to better serve the traveling public and our members"  said John Boutin, Treasurer and Executive Board Member.

In addition, Scott Rivelli, the outgoing Executive Director of the association stated: "Anne's history and experience make her the perfect fit to lead SSL moving forward. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly support Anne as the new Executive Director/CEO."

The Superior Small Lodging organization is the nation's largest and oldest organization dedicated to serving independent, owner-operated hotels, resorts and inns with 75 rooms or less. The association was created in 1989 in Broward County when the county was going through a transition period, clamping down on the +/- 400,000 college students who arrived every season for Spring Break. Established to bring brand awareness to the smaller boutique lodgings as an alternative to the large corporate branded hotels, the Superior Small Lodging brand has come to represent a partnership of unique lodging properties offering a high level of service, comfort and cleanliness.
