Cendant Hotel Group contributed $5,000 to the 2005 American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF) Annual Giving Campaign. This year, 173 donors raised more than $57,000 to support AH&LEF’s core missions.
An active and long-time supporter of AH&LEF, Cendant Hotel Group and its brands have been donors to the annual giving drives since 1997—collectively donating more than $95,500. Contributions to AH&LEF’s Annual Giving Campaign provide much-needed support to promote hospitality as a career of choice, fund scholarships to hospitality management students, as well as sponsoring important research to benefit the lodging industry.
Last year, more than $800,000 was dispersed to prepare promising college students for a career in hospitality; attract and retain quality industry professionals; and fund valuable research for lodging properties. The drive solicits corporations and individuals for annual contributions to support AH&LEF’s various programs.

Rudnitsky, Cendant Hotel Group chairman and chief executive officer. “By encouraging college students to pursue lodging careers, the Foundation is providing a welcome supply of qualified employees who bring new ideas and thinking to our industry.”
