IRU's Global Taxi Apps Network takes on new Russian partner

IRU warmly welcomes new high quality partner, Rezident Taxi from Russia, to its Global Taxi Network.

BRUSSELS – IRU warmly welcomes another high quality partner to its Global Taxi Network (GTN). Resident Taxi, operating from Moscow, Russia, is the newest addition to IRU’s network which provides high quality, safe, and legal taxi services to customers around the world.

Umberto de Pretto, IRU Secretary General, said, “Rezident Taxi is a welcomed addition to our Global Taxi Network. This is an important step in enhancing our presence in Russia and in further advancing our global coverage and the service provided to customers.”

Valery Anatolievich Cherenkov, Director General of Rezident Taxi, said, “We support the international community of taxi operators in their effort to create a global network of quality taxi services. Our company is looking to expand its business and we hope to find business partners in GTN for mutually beneficial cooperation. I am sure that having joined the GTN we have found like minded people.”

IRU’s Global Taxi Network is a partnership of taxi industry federations and taxi app providers. Its objective is to promote legal, reliable, high quality and safe services to taxi customers, by making use of the latest smartphone technology in full respect of the regulatory framework in force. Launched to the industry less than a year ago, the network already operates on 5 continents encompassing more than 250,000 taxis worldwide, with on average 30,000 taxis added to its partners’ fleets every month.
