The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) announced the election of three Directors-at-Large to its Board of Directors:
Lynn C. Brunner, CTC, is Manager, Travel Management of HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) in Nashville, TN. Brunner just completed a one-year term as an NBTA Board Director-at-Large. She has served in a variety of leadership positions at NBTA and Tennessee BTA. She currently chairs the Institute of Business Travel Management (IBTM) Industry Advisory Council and she is the President of the Tennessee BTA.
Michael W. Lyons, CCTE, is Commodity Manager – Travel at Avery Dennison in Brea, CA. Lyons is a member of the IBTM Industry Advisory Council and chairs its Aviation sub-committee. He has served in a number of volunteer leadership positions at NBTA, including serving on the Travel Management Company Task Force and the Aviation Committee. He has also served in the LABTA.
Tracey Wilt is Supplier Manager, Travel, Meetings & Incentives at Xerox Corporation in Webster, NY. Wilt is currently Co-chair of the NBTA Groups and Meetings Committee, and she has served on the Hotel Committee. Wilt has also served in leadership roles in the NYSBTA and the NCBTA.
“I am pleased to welcome these dedicated members to the NBTA Board,” said NBTA President and CEO, Carol A. Devine, CCTE. “The volunteer leadership of NBTA, including the Board, the Committees and the leaders of the local chapters, drive this organization. The Board sets the organization’s strategic direction and policy, and these new Directors will bring a wealth of industry experience to bear on that process.”
The Directors were elected by the voting membership of NBTA in a process concluded at the NBTA 36th Annual Convention and Trade Show. The membership also passed an addition to the Association’s bylaws which stipulates that in order to be eligible to sit on the NBTA Board of Directors an individual may not participate in a leadership role at a competing organization.
