The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE<.>) will host its 2002 International Conference December 8-11 at Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Miami.

The International Conference provides an industry-specific think tank, a sophisticated business forum for those involved in the design and delivery of motivational programs and events.

Some of the brightest minds in the incentive travel industry will share their experience and expertise as members of the incentive community navigate through today`s unique business environment, turning challenges into opportunities.

This year`s International Conference will explore the new climate of international business. Attendees will analyze specific challenges the industry must overcome in these unusual times, said SITE Chief Executive Officer Brenda Anderson. It is a chance to share ideas and learn how to operate on a new level.

Educational content is grouped into three specific focus areas to help address the main issues facing incentive travel professionals:

  • New World…New Opportunities: This track will feature ideas and insights about how the incentive travel industry has changed, its present state and its future.

  • Sales and Marketing: This track will help attendees sharpen their sales and marketing expertise while learning how to strengthen one`s competitive edge.

  • The Internet and Technology: This track will examine the value of technological developments while learning how to cash in on the benefits and build stronger relationships with clients.

SITE`s International Conference`s educational opportunities extend beyond the classroom as attendees will be able to experience many incentive-class activities in Greater Miami and the Beaches. While staying at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, attendees will choose among many half-day tour options, including The South Beach Experience, Everglades airboat rides, shopping and golf at Doral Golf Resort and Spa. Each evening has a special event planned, including a South Beach Dine-Around, private party at an exclusive nightclub and a black-tie gala. Pre- and post conference tours to Ft. Lauderdale, the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, Caribbean and various cruises are also available.

The educational component of this year`s event promises to be excellent thanks to the vision and foresight of Conference Chair Bill LaViolette (Incentives & Meetings International), Anderson said. And attendees will get to experience many of the incentive quality venues Miami has to offer thanks to the hard work of Host Committee Chair Lisa Cherry-Perks (The Opus Group).

Organizations that are sponsoring the conference to date include: Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, Gardner and Associates, Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau, Sunbound/Bahama Fantasies, Deco Productions, Ft. Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Icelandair, Icelandair Hotels, Pioneer Productions, Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Lines, Miami Air International, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Princess Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean International, Silversea Cruise Line, Star Clippers, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines.
