The Russians are interested in Indonesia

ATOR Analytical Service prepared the first presentation on dynamics of the tourist flow to Indonesia. The tourist flow from Russia increased by 8.4% during the 8 months of 2010 in comparison with the same period of last year.

In general, the tourist flow to Indonesia increased by 12.1% during the period from January to August 2010, amounting 4 625 500 people. The majority of the foreigners (67%) arrived via Jakarta and Denpasar.

The Singaporeans like Indonesia more than the others (with the share of 16.5%), then goes Malaysia with the share of 16.2%, the third place takes Australia (10.5%). China (6.7%), Japan (6.2%) and South Korea (4.4%) close the list of TOP 6 markets for Indonesia. The best results of 8 months of 2010 among the European countries showed the United Kingdom (2.9%), France (2.5%) and the Netherlands (2.4%).

The best dynamics of growth during 8 months of 2010 showed Australia with the increase of 40%, the tourist flow from China increased by more than 20% and from South Korea increased by 16%. As for the European market, the best dynamics showed British market with the growth of 10%.

The tourist flow from Russia has increased considerably as a result of 8 months of 2010. Almost 50 thousand Russians visited Indonesia during the mentioned period. The Russians increased the tourist flow by 8.4% in comparison with the same period of last year but took only 15th place (5th one in the European rating) in the rating of the countries-suppliers of the tourists to Indonesia.
