Picsolve continues American ambitions with record year of growth

US market grows by over 100% since the acquisition of Freeze Frame.

LONDON – At this year’s IAAPA Expo, Picsolve, the leading digital content capture partner for world-class visitor destinations, is celebrating record US growth after the number of locations using its technology more than doubled within the last year. Recent wins, including four Merlin Entertainments’ attractions and San Diego Zoo & Safari Park, further cement Picsolve’s position as the market-leader.

Since its acquisition of Freeze Frame in September 2017, the number of locations in the US using Picsolve technology has grown by more than 100% and now includes a wide range of theme parks, casinos, museums, observatories, zoos and other specialized attractions. The impressive roster of new partnerships will showcase the breadth of Picsolve’s suite of content capture products, with implementations of its patented and immersive Experience Wall and the newly launched Super Selfie.

San Diego Zoo and Safari Park
The partnership with the iconic San Diego Zoo and Safari Park will see Picsolve’s new Super Selfie content capture technology, green screen technology and roaming photography power visitor experiences at two of the most recognized family destinations in the US. The innovative Super Selfie technology takes a stunning backdrop of any destination and combines it with a selfie of the visitors to create a short video with an amazing zoom-out effect. For visitors, it creates unique and shareable social content that captures their unforgettable experience.

This selection by one of the world’s best zoos further solidifies Picsolve’s position as the number one content capture partner.

Merlin Entertainments – American Dream LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Sea Life and Peppa Pig World of Play, and LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus, Ohio

Picsolve has been chosen as the sole content capture partner for three new Merlin Entertainments’ attractions at the ‘American Dream’ including LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Sea Life Aquarium and the indoor children’s attraction Peppa Pig World of Play. The American Dream is a World-Class retail and entertainment destination, opening in 2019. The 3 million square foot Meadowlands Complex in New Jersey is perfectly situated for domestic and international tourists.

Further expanding its partnership with Merlin Entertainments, Picsolve will also be providing content capture technology at the newly opened LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus, Ohio.

Picsolve’s partnership with Merlin Entertainments will see its green screen technology, roaming photography, automated capture and set content capture being implemented to enhance the visitor experiences.

Picsolve CEO, David Hockley, commented, “Since the acquisition of Freeze Frame last September, we’ve succeeded in our mission to achieve substantial growth in the US and I’m incredibly proud of our achievements. The team’s hard work in building trusted partnerships with world-class visitor destinations is unrivaled, and as we continue to expand globally and invest in the development of new technology I anticipate many more partners will come to us to improve visitor experiences through content capture.”

These new wins follow series of previously announced US contracts, including partnerships with 360 CHICAGO Observation Deck, National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey in the heart of New York’s Times Square and Caesars Entertainment.

John Barbieri, Picsolve’s US Chief Operating Officer, will be at this year’s IAAPA Expo to discuss these recent partner wins, the company’s new content capture technology and its rapid growth in the US.
