Air Europa sets off to Santa Cruz

Air Europa, the Latin America specialists, will launch a new route to Santa Cruz from 29 November as the carrier expands its long-haul programme.

Using the new Airbus 330-200, the twice-weekly service, from London Gatwick via Madrid, provides UK travellers with great value airfares to Bolivia’s indigenous villages, Amazon jungle, and the world’s largest salt plains of Salar de Uyuni.

"In what has been a challenging time for the airline industry, we are extremely proud to introduce yet another long-haul route to our growing portfolio of services to South America," says Colin Stewart, UK General Manager, Air Europa.

"Since launching the London Gatwick-Madrid route over three years ago, we’ve gone from strength to strength and hope that this new service will further cement our position as the airline of choice to Latin America," says Colin.

The new route to Bolivia is the latest addition to the airline’s extensive list of services across South America and the Spanish Caribbean including Buenos Aires; Argentina, Caracas; Venezuela, Havana; Cuba and Santo Domingo; Dominican Republic. The airline has also boosted capacity on its Gatwick to Madrid connection by replacing the Embraer 195 with the Boeing 737, adding an extra 120 seats a day to the route.

With short connection times of less than three and a half hours and a generous baggage allowance of 23kg, Air Europa continues to open the gateway to South America for UK travellers.
