Azores Airlines increase direct flights between Madeira and North America

Azores Airlines announces direct flights between Madeira and Boston, and Madeira and Toronto.

Azores Airlines announced two new direct flights between Funchal and Boston, and between Funchal and Toronto. These connections add to the air operation between Funchal and New York a bet with outstanding results.

Flights are already available in the system and tickets can be purchased at the airline’s sales points and travel agencies. Direct flights between Funchal and Boston, and Funchal and Toronto, start in June and run until September. In addition to direct flights, Azores Airlines will maintain the current offer of direct flights between Funchal and New York, and flights to Canada (Toronto) with a stop in Ponta Delgada (Azores).

Teresa Gonçalves, CEO of the SATA Group, who recently visited the Madeira Archipelago, points out that strengthening the air operation between North America and Madeira follows the success of the existing connection to New York. Teresa Gonçalves also highlighted the success of the Inter-Archipelago air operation. “In 2023, Azores Airlines’ operation between Madeira and the Azores is extremely positive. The bet on direct flights between Madeira and North America outcomes from the success of the operation between New York and Funchal,” says the Executive President of Azores Airlines.
