Sixteen members of the Young Presidents Organisation – Oman Chapter, met with Gulf Air President and Chief Executive James Hogan during a visit to Bahrain.

A presentation on Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, its growth and achievements over the years, was made to the members of the delegation.

“The past three years have witnessed significant and fundamental change at Gulf Air. The business has been transformed to compete in a global aviation environment,” says Mr Hogan.

“In addition to the ongoing challenge posed by fuel, the new year will see the implementation of a new strategic approach as the change in shareholding takes effect. However we are confident that with the commitment and support of our two shareholding owner states, we have a strong commercial foundation from which to optimise our business still further and take advantage of the numerous opportunities for growth.”

The team, in Bahrain on a three-day visit, represents prominent business houses in Oman, who at a young age, have proved their potential to become business leaders of tomorrow.

The Young President`s Organisation is a peer network, which connects more than 9,500 young global business leaders in more than 75 countries to exchange ideas, pursue learning and share strategies to achieve personal and professional growth and success.

The mission of the organisation is to create `Better Leaders Through Education and Idea Exchange` by creating unparalleled access to the world’s foremost experts, heads of state and thought-leaders to explore diverse issues.
