Thanks to its expanding flight network to the Indian subcontinent, Etihad Airways is quickly establishing itself as the first choice premium carrier for expatriate communities living in Oman, say airline executives. Etihad currently provides Oman-based Guests with frequent connections to eight major destinations in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka from Muscat, via its Abu Dhabi hub.

“Etihad offers 44 flights every week, via Abu Dhabi, to the Indian subcontinent which provides a vital service and state-of-the-art in-flight product for the strong expatriate communities from these countries who are living in Oman,” said Khondakar Kabir, Etihad’s Oman sales manager.

During December Etihad will strengthen its links with Oman’s Sri Lankan community by supporting dinner dances at the Al Falaj Hotel.

“Etihad enjoys deep-rooted ties with the Sri Lankan community in Muscat and throughout Oman. Guests can travel quickly and easily from Muscat to Colombo, enjoying Etihad’s superior levels of hospitality and service with a minimal transfer period at Abu Dhabi,” continued Khondakar Kabir.
