Flight Radar 24

Following the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, several airlines have announced the cancellation of their flights to and from Israel. As we reported yesterday, this includes Air France, Transavia, and Lufthansa. Since then, several other airlines have followed suit: Ita Airways, Iberia, Aegean, Swiss Air, Austrian Airlines, EasyJet, Wizz Air, Air Canada, and Turkish Airlines.

The conflict in Israel has led companies worldwide to suspend their flights to Tel Aviv. However, some are still operating.

US-based airlines United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines have all temporarily suspended their flights to and from the international airport near Tel Aviv.

El Al continues to operate

However, El Al has not canceled its own flights, as confirmed by a company spokesperson to AFP, maintaining its regular flights. Only a few flights operated by foreign airlines in cooperation with El Al, to destinations like Prague or Warsaw, have been canceled.

Nevertheless, El Al may decide to cancel some flights to redirect more planes to certain cities. “We could cancel flights to destinations with few Israelis to assist Israelis elsewhere,” explains El Al’s spokesperson to AFP. The Israeli airline has stated on its website that it is acting according to the instructions of Israeli security forces, and all departures are from Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion Airport.

Other airlines also operating

Israeli airport authorities have not interrupted commercial airline connections with Israel’s second international airport in Eilat, a tourist destination on the Red Sea. In fact, Israir and Arkia Airlines have organized rescue flights to bring Israelis back from abroad.

According to Flight Radar 24, the airlines still operating flights to Israel include Air Europa from Madrid, MNG Airlines from Istanbul, Emirates from Dubai, Ryanair from various destinations, Czech Airlines from Athens, as well as Arkia, Flydubai, Cyprus Airways, Smartwings, Israir, Pegasus Airlines, Tus Air, and more. Of course, these details are subject to change in the coming hours.
