Jet2.com: More services to Santorini from Manchester Airport

Santorini

The new services are perfectly timed for newlyweds who have tied the knot on a Saturday and are looking to head off on their honeymoon immediately after the big day. Couples and families can also take advantage of the additional flights and enjoy a week-long getaway or longer on the idyllic island.

Just weeks after announcing a significant expansion at Manchester Airport for Summer 2024, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added even more capacity from the airport for this summer, with additional flights and holidays going on sale to Santorini.

The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline have added new Sunday services from Manchester Airport to the popular Greek island, giving holidaymakers and independent travel agents in the region even more choice and flexibility to visit the bucket list destination.

The addition of these new services, which run from 21st July to 1st September along with three other existing services (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), means that the companies have four weekly services on sale to Santorini during Summer 24.

Whether holidaymakers are looking to soak up the breathtaking views along the caldera, see the world-famous sunset at Oia, enjoy the local vineyards, or take in one of a number of key archaeological sites, such as ancient Akrotiri, a Minoan settlement preserved under volcanic ash, the picture-perfect island offers it all.

The announcement comes in response to strong demand for holidays to Greece in Summer 24. In Summer 24, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to a total of 14 Greek destinations –Athens, Corfu, Crete (Chania), Crete (Heraklion), Kalamata (Peloponnese), Kefalonia, Kos, Lesvos, Preveza, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos, Halkidiki and Zante – from Manchester Airport, as holidaymakers look to book holidays in the Greek sunshine.

As well as booking and travelling on award-winning flights and ATOL protected package holidays, customers get to experience and enjoy the company’s VIP customer service which has seen Jet2.com and Jet2holidays repeatedly win high-profile accolades.

This VIP customer service includes friendly flight times and a generous 22kg baggage allowance through a flight-only booking with Jet2.com; or that very same VIP customer service, in-resort Customer Helpers, transfers, Free Child Place holidays and ATOL protection with the UK’s largest tour operator, Jet2holidays.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Demand from customers and independent travel agents in the region is telling us that flights and holidays to Greece are very much in demand for Summer 24. As ever, we have responded quickly to that demand by adding extra services to Santorini from Manchester Airport, giving customers even more choice when it comes to visiting this bucket list destination.

“With its romantic sunsets and stunning scenery, Santorini is a magical destination for newlyweds, couples and families who are looking to enjoy a memorable holiday in the Greek sunshine. The appeal of Santorini, combined with our Free Child Place holidays and fantastic sale, means we are confident that these new services will prove popular with local holidaymakers.”
