Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced further reductions in capacity, mainly in Asia, in May and June 2003.
Services to Brussels, previously suspended until 31 May, have now been terminated, but connections are available to and from Brussels via SIA`s European gateways, which include Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London and Paris, as well as other major European cities.
The latest cuts bring the total reduction in capacity, in terms of available seat kilometres, to 31.5 per cent for the period April to June 2003. Up to 358 frequencies per week have been suspended.
The table below shows the number of frequencies to the affected destinations according to the planned schedules for Northern Summer, and the revised number, after deducting those that have been cut. The planned column contains the number of frequencies in accordance with the Northern Summer schedule. The revised column takes into account the latest reductions and those announced earlier. All reductions are effective immediately unless otherwise stated.
