The Iberia Group offers over one million seats this Easter

Iberia

Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum will operate 5,471 flights.

This Easter, Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum will operate 5,471 flights, a 7.69% increase compared to last year.

In total, from Friday 22 March to Monday 1 April, the Iberia Group will offer more than one million seats. The most popular destinations are Paris, where the airline offers ten daily flights, Rome, with six, New York with three, Athens with one daily flight, and the Dominican Republic with four weekly flights. For the Madrid-Rome and Madrid-Athens connections, two extra flights have been added to each route on Thursday 28 March.

Coinciding with Easter, the airline decided to bring forward the beginning of the summer season, which in the airline sector formally begins at the beginning of April. Thus, Iberia customers will be able to choose, from Easter until 30 October, between flights to Tirana, the Albanian capital, to the Croatian cities of Dubrovnik and Zagreb, to the Sicilian city of Catania, and Ponte Delgada in the Azores Islands.

According to María Jesús Lopéz Solas, Iberia’s Commercial Director, “Easter is one of the periods of the year when the greatest number of trips are concentrated in just a few days, which is why we wanted to expand our offer to the most in-demand destinations, also giving our customers the chance to travel to the new destinations scheduled for the summer season.”

In Spain, the preferred destination for customers continues to be the Canary Islands, where Iberia Express adds 96 flights and more than 16,900 additional seats to its operations. As for the Balearic Islands, the schedule increases by 12% and 50,000 seats, with 18 additional flights to Mallorca and Menorca.
