Four ways to wear a mesh top this spring

Not sure how to rock this material? Here are some of the best ways to wear mesh this spring, just like your favorite celebs.

Spring is the best season of all to experiment with new trends. Not too hot and not too cold, it's the perfect time of the year to mix and match materials, outfits, and different items of clothing with one another. And one material that has won the hearts of the fashion world and taken it by storm is mesh.

When worn stylishly, it can cling to your body in a very ‘high fashion’ way that's embraced by fashionistas. From high profile A-listers like Kylie Jenner, Adele, Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, and the whole cast of Euphoria donning the trend (minus Rue and the boys, of course), it looks as though mesh is here to stay.

However, mesh clings to the body, making it a unique material to work with, and can look off if not properly styled. Not sure how to rock this material? Here are some of the best ways to wear mesh this spring, just like your favorite celebs.

1. Wear with jeans
Behold, the much-loved fashion mesh top and pants trend. Most recently made famous again by Barbie Ferreira and Alexa Demie's characters (Kat and Maddy) in the hit show Euphoria, pair a classic Y2K mesh top with some heeled mules and mom jeans. And for an alternative, more casual look, swap the mules (pink should be your go-to color) with some fashion trainers. Effortless but so very fashionable.

2. Under a dress
This is a style that works SO well in spring, as you can play with layers differently than you would in winter. Instead of thick, cozy jumpers, choose your favorite slip dress and pair it with a statement mesh top underneath. Preferably a long-sleeved top, you can either clash prints by choosing a dress with a different pattern on it, or go a little simpler, and let the mesh top do the talking.

During the day, pair with your comfy pumps, trainers or Dr. Martens, and in the evening, jazz up the look a bit by grabbing those mules again or opting for some strappy heels.

3. Under a blazer
We know what you're thinking: wearing a mesh top under a blazer? There's no way I can pull that off.

Don't stop there. This look can work for two types of people: those who love all things bright and bold and those who prefer a more subtle monochrome palette. We guarantee you're one of those and you can rock this no problem.

Wear your favorite mesh top under your blazer of choice and either pair with the matching suit trousers or grab those mom jeans from before for a more casual vibe.

4. With a skirt
Block colored skirts can be a great addition to mesh tops, as they can accentuate the upper part of your body. Think bright fuchsia pinks, lime greens, oranges, and electric blues for the best results (providing they match the color of your mesh top, that is.) There are plenty of skirt shapes that can suit all body types, too. To create some shape, opt for a wrap skirt. To add a bit of elegance, go for a satin slip skirt. You literally can't go wrong!

Embrace your favorite mesh top this spring
So there you have it, four extremely fashionable ways to wear your favorite mesh top. Whether you keep it casual with mom jeans and pumps, or you take it up a notch and go full-on Dua Lipa and wear a see-through mesh top over your favorite bra, there are plenty of other ways to rock the mesh look.

So, what are you waiting for? Head to your closet and start embracing the return of the Y2K trend!
