Interesting tips not to be missed in Turkey

Here is a list of points, what places to visit, what to see, what to try, and what to learn.

And here you are, already packing your suitcase in your thoughts, sitting and pondering what to take from visiting Turkey as part of your vacation. Do not suffer for a long time. Here is a list of points, what places to visit, what to see, what to try, and what to learn.

These places have gained popularity, especially in 2021, when it is impossible to relax in a hotel. Finish your work, or if you are a student, give some critical assignment to the writing services and go on an unforgettable journey through fabulous Turkey!

1. Visit Istanbul
Istanbul is undoubtedly the first place on the list. Its sights, exciting posts, and original establishments could be stretched for all 100 points. Still, you would have to miss many other exciting things, and this is an unaffordable luxury. So, what is “must do” and “must-see” in Istanbul? You should visit Sultanahmet or the Blue Mosque, and then, after walking 200 meters, discover one of the main symbols of the country – Hagia Sophia.

From there, you can take a leisurely step to the Basilica Cistern. In no case should you miss the Topkapi and Dolmabahce palaces? You need to personally get acquainted with the Galata Tower and then the Galata Bridge. We recommend that you drop by the Grand Bazaar, if not for shopping, then at least for impressions. Visit the second most important and the first largest mosque in Istanbul – Suleymaniye.

2. Enjoy Turkish cuisine
This item is a must in your program no matter where and how you relax, because Turkish cuisine, if you did not know yet, is one of the three best in the world in terms of its variety. Turkish cuisine can please everyone because it consists of several types of meat, many fruits and vegetables, rice in several variations, legumes, fish, and seafood. So, where do you start?

To begin with, be sure to try one of the hundreds of possible kebabs. If you are very fond of meat, then continue with kefte, of which there are also several dozen, depending on the area. Be sure to try chorba, which means soup, and which one you choose. And yes, feel free to lean on the meze. These are snacks, there are many of them in Turkey, and you will be satisfied.

A separate item is a Turkish breakfast. This is not something that involves hastily eating anything that first came to hand. A Turkish breakfast is an actual ceremony that includes tomatoes, cucumbers, several types of cheese and olives, eggs, boiled or in the form of menemen. This is like an omelet with vegetables, plus various fruit jams, the freshest pastries, juices, and tea. Oh, and yes, a colorful setting and not necessarily, but desirable, a delightful panorama.

3. Taste Turkish coffee and tea with Turkish sweets
And continuing the gastronomic theme, let's say that regardless of the place, time, and duration of your stay in Turkey, you simply must drink a cup of Turkish coffee, many glasses of tea, and without thinking about extra pounds, enjoy Turkish sweets. Why is this topic a separate thread?

The reason is probably that this is a separate layer of the country's culture and traditions. Let's start with coffee. You just pay attention to these elaborately decorated miniature cups, how it is brewed, and the most exciting thing happens after you empty your fragrant cup. You can be predicted your future by the coffee grounds.

4. Visit Cappadocia
If you want to visit a fairy tale in reality, then you should visit Cappadocia. It is an area in central Turkey known for its unique landscape, caves, underground crypts, and monasteries. After admiring enough of Cappadocia from the ground, you can go on a short hot air balloon trip, which will open you to fabulous and bizarre landscapes.

And if you get tired during the day, you can stay in one of the many underground hotels. However, you should take care of this in advance, as there are many tourists here at any time of the year.

5. See Pamukkale
Another natural wonder in Turkey that is worth seeing alive is Pamukkale. From a distance, Pamukkale resembles a series of terraced small white pools through which water flows. These are travertine formations that have arisen on the mountainside due to the deposition of salts saturated with calcium.

In addition to the aesthetic pleasure that you will undoubtedly receive, Pamukkale can also be beneficial since its mineral waters have medicinal properties. Here they treat diseases of the heart and musculoskeletal system and also successfully relieve stress.

6. Visit Canakkale – Ancient Troy
Undoubtedly, Troy is one of the most famous ancient cities, which we were told about at school in history lessons, which actors have shown on screens for us more than once, and it would be great to be there. And please, you don't need a time machine for that, you just need to go to the Turkish city of Canakkale.

Directly in Canakkale, you will find a model of a Trojan horse purchased from Warner Bros. And after that, the second Trojan horse is already in Troy, as well as the ruins of the temple of Athena, the sacrificial altar, the ruins of the theater, marble columns, and small stones of Troy, which can be collected as a keepsake, which introduces tourists to children's genuine delight.
