Join the main stakeholders from the region and beyond for this important event organized by UNWTO jointly with the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Georgia, to look at how improved communications can help pave the way for a brighter future for tourism. It will bring together high tourism decision-makers, tourism communicators and executives from public and private sectors, and the media – business and travel journalists, broadcasters and editors.
The Conference seeks to:
- improve relationships between the tourism industry and the media
- raise awareness about the need for skilled professional communications in the tourism industry
- strengthen the National Tourism Administrations communication capacity
- share know-how of image building, branding, crisis communications
- touch upon the latest developments in tourism communications.
Prior to the Conference, on September 24, Georgia will launch the First Biennial Golden Fleece Travel Film Festival that focuses on the promotion of sustainable tourism development and respect for natural and cultural resources. National tourism administrations, tourism sector and travel film makers are invited to take part in this international travel film contest. A special prize will be awarded to the best destination promotion film.
