Patricia Yates, CEO VisitBritain/VisitEngland, talks to TravelDailyNews International about “UK tourism industry emerges dynamically in the post-Covid era”.
VisitBritain is the national tourism agency, that undertakes Britain-wide and England-specific activity respectively under the brands ‘VisitBritain’ and ‘VisitEngland’.
The tourism industry is Britain’s seventh largest export industry. Before the pandemic tourism was worth £127 billion to Britain’s economy. Inbound tourism’s economic contribution was valued at £26.2 billion.
Mrs. Yates is the best person to give us her insights into how the UK tourism industry emerges dynamically in the post-Covid era during an eventful year for Britain, with once-in-a-lifetime events, such as the Coronation of King Charles III and Liverpool hosting the Eurovision Song Contest amongst others.
