The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) invites the public to attend Ka Huina, the Native Hawaiian Hospitality Association‘s upcoming conference, at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Literally translated, “KA HUINA” refers to an intersection or nexus. This term serves as the central theme of the conference, delving into the nexus -the “huina”- of community, culture, tourism, and sustainability.
The full-day event will include an all-Native Hawaiian vendor marketplace known as the Kuhikuhi Marketplace, a post-event Networking Event, and four panel discussions featuring leaders from both the industry and the community. Additionally, specialty speakers will engage in thoughtful exchanges on how communities and the visitor industry can collaboratively work toward the long-term well-being of Hawaiʻi.
