BitLux sponsors Backroads of Appalachia as its official air travel provider

The Florida-based private jet charter company aims to connect national and global motorsports enthusiasts to the beautiful scenic highways of the Central Appalachian region while also supporting local communities.

LYNCH, KENTUCKY – BitLux, the Florida-based global private jet provider, has announced its Gold Level Sponsorship with Backroads of Appalachia (Backroads), a non-profit organization promoting business and workforce development through tourism and motorsports in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The partnership aims to foster connectivity for national and international travelers to the Central Appalachian Region via private aviation.

BitLux will act as the official private air provider for Backroads’ motorsports enthusiasts traveling to Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The partnership will also streamline transportation to the motorsports event of the year, Racing For a Cause in October. This annual event showcases a broad range of high-performance cars and brings together families and friends.

“Private aviation goes beyond luxury and celebrities; it’s about connecting small towns and businesses in isolated U.S. regions,” says Kyle Patel, CEO of BitLux. “Our sponsorship with Backroads aligns with our enduring commitment to influence lives positively. This organization has been making significant impacts in the community, especially in the economically challenged areas of Appalachia, which parallels our own efforts in humanitarian missions and disaster relief.”

Backroads has been instrumental in elevating Appalachia's stunning, curvy highway system as an international destination for tourists and motorsports enthusiasts. Their efforts have drawn thousands of visitors to the region, stimulating economic growth by tripling tax revenues, partnering with and creating new businesses, and magnifying each region’s economic impact.

“Backroads of Appalachia is in the business of giving people second chances, getting folks high on cars [not drugs]. The heart of our work focuses on supporting people through transition by providing positive employment opportunities. Backroads is all about a hand up, not a hand-out”, shares Erik Hubbard, Executive Director of Backroads of Appalachia.

In collaboration with the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), Backroads offers training and employment to individuals enrolled in addiction recovery programs. These individuals serve at the Dragon Slayer Welcome Center, which aims to instill hope and provide meaningful employment opportunities.

“Helping with widespread drug abuse issues is a very important topic to me”, explains Patel. “Having fought my own battles, I find it extremely important to positively influence those who struggle with good surroundings, great energy, and a fun time – to let them know there is a better way to live.”

He adds, “Backroads collaborative approach, partnering with local organizations, businesses, and government to create opportunities for individuals in recovery resonated with us, and while we can’t halt the drug epidemic, we can certainly contribute to better lives on and off the road.”

“Racing for a Cause is our annual event to close another successful motorsport season. We would be honored to have fans come out this October and support our mission’s purpose of creating more opportunities for Central Appalachia”, concludes Hubbard.
