The motorhome rental market has been growing for years and has played a major role in DER Touristik’s portfolio even before the pandemic. With the brands camperboerse.com and Motorhome Bookers, the tour operator has held a leading position in this market since 2008. The online distribution of motorhome tours differs fundamentally from the traditional Sun&Beach products. Travelling by motorhome places high demands on the quality of inspiration and advice provided by the IBE to the end customer. This ranges from the versatility of the vehicle equipment to variable route planning with different pick-up and drop-off points and a wide range of additional services.
DER Touristik therefore commissioned ISO Travel Solutions to develop an Internet booking engine specifically tailored to the needs of motorhome travelers. This was developed in close cooperation and based on ISO’s module-based IBE technology. Travelers can now benefit from the innovative features of the new sales tool when searching for their individual motorhome trip. The highlights of ISO-IBE include the flexible selection of rental periods as well as different pick-up and drop-off locations. For example, travelers can start in the U.S. and return the motorhome in Canada, and find out about opening hours, legal requirements, etc.
Clear comparisons of each vehicle’s features, size, and performance make it easy to choose the right vehicle for each situation – including all costs. Detailed images show the vehicles inside and out, including kitchen and storage areas. Additional equipment packages can be dynamically added according to their availability and combinability. Options such as limited equipment packages, discounts and seasonal offers enable effective sales campaigns.
