Vancouver, BC – Founder and CEO Sandi Lesueur introduces VIRTU Resort & Residences Ltd. as a privately-owned boutique Canadian company pioneering sustainable luxury real estate and resort development, bridging scientific innovation with natural healing traditions to redefine lifestyle medicine.

Founded by visionary women committed to radically sustainable legacies, VIRTU unites distinguished professionals across disciplines, borders and cultures to build and operate differently. For example, VIRTU’s leadership team includes:

  • Winner of “The Best Sustainable SPA of the Year” award with Lefay Resorts’ Gargnano project, architect Alberto Apostoli and his atelier Studio Apostoli oversee the wellness architecture and design for all VIRTU projects. Apostoli is considered an international leader in a sector that he has contributed to for more than 25 years.
  • Sheila McCann of Enflingo Global Limited informs future-forward lifestyle-medicine services and spa programs including performance-sport, culinary health and therapeutic arts, operated by Armonia Wellness
  • A strategic partnership with luxury asset management group Mocinno International led by Jeroen Gulickx unlocks feasible, zoned development opportunities in beautiful places around the world, starting in Portugal, Canada, Scotland and the USA
  • Pepperdine Professor and luxury market expert Dr. Daniel Langer of Equité Brands and the BLLA Luxury Academy guides the brand culture to delight an influential and motivated international target market with a focus on Gen Y and Z.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), VIRTU champions excellence with a goal for net-positive to drive change and record results through environmental preservation, social advancement, and economic prosperity (ESG) measured by UK-based FuturePlus, all with oversight by sustainability and wellness expert Lucy Brialey.

VIRTU is in the pipeline to join the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (SHA) Accelerator Programme, poised to be a vanguard of sustainable luxury for its business practices and robust financial returns.

VIRTU’s pursuit of sustainable resorts is a blueprint the industry must seek to learn from, and we look forward to engaging VIRTU in our Accelerator Programme in the future,” says Glenn Mandziuk, CEO, Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. “By seeking to engage Indigenous groups, VIRTU is embracing a truly net positive approach to hospitality, where the industry gives back to the destinations more than it takes.”

VIRTU is ready for growth with four projects in the pipeline – in rural Portugal, a Canadian mountain resort, on Northern Nevada lands and on the Fijian waterfront – with anticipated revenue streams from luxury property sales, hospitality and resort service and experience, lifestyle-medicine spa, private club memberships and e-commerce retail sales.

VIRTU derives distinction through culture and is formalizing alliances with Indigenous groups for development projects that respect their unique insights and ambitions for business, cultural and medical legacy and land use.

VIRTU financial objectives emphasize growth, stability, and optimal returns for the company and its investors who embrace the ESG imperative,” says Lesueur. “Our long-term vision is to delight guests while leaving only a positive impression upon the planet. Our approach prioritizes exceptional architecture and design, cultural partnerships and prudent financial management while seizing opportunities for responsible expansion and expert-led innovation.”

VIRTU Resort & Residences is now conducting its inaugural investments to power expansion initiatives. With a team of seasoned international leaders in design, building and operating at a luxury level and employing the latest advances throughout its projects, VIRTU aims to set new sustainable hospitality and real estate standards.
