AT&T FlexWare delivers for Omni Hotels & Resorts

Luxury hotelier uses AT&T global integrated network solutions to help secure data and connections, cut costs.

DALLAS – AT&T is delivering a highly secure, on-demand, flexible network platform to 60 Omni Hotels & Resorts. We're helping Omni transform the customer and associate experience through flexible, software-centric services like AT&T FlexWare.

Delivering and deploying software-based network functions isn't always easy. FlexWare simplifies this process. Before, adding a router or firewall could take weeks – even months. Businesses had to buy multiple appliances to run specific networking functions. It was expensive, cumbersome and took too long.

FlexWare reduces hardware requirements. So it offers a simple, more agile network experience to businesses around the world.

"From booking rooms on our website to engaging with guests on-site, and from our 'mobile first' approach to network transformation, AT&T helps us seamlessly transform how we deliver an exceptional, 4-diamond experience," said Ken Barnes, chief information officer for Omni Hotels & Resorts. "We have a true collaborative relationship with AT&T."

AT&T is providing a comprehensive smart network solution for Omni including:

  • Security Solutions like AT&T Secure Email Gateway, designed to block spam, viruses, and other inbound email threats before they reach Omni's network and to filter outbound email to help protect the company against loss of important information.
  • AT&T VPN and AT&T Dedicated Internet solutions provide a backbone of highly secure connectivity and internet access.
  • DIRECTV will be available in all guest rooms and gathering places like on-site bars and restaurants.
  • Enhanced Push-to-Talk (EPTT) gives employees the ability to make traditional group calls, 1-to-1 calls, create and prioritize talk groups on the fly and have managerial override.  Management can reach an entire staff on property should there be inclement weather, a public safety incident or a when a Select Guest loyalty member is arriving onsite. EPTT is currently rolling out to properties across the country.

"Our smart, integrated network platform helps Omni Hotels create new guest experiences both today and in the future," said Roman Pacewicz, chief product officer, AT&T Business. "And Omni Hotels & Resorts can easily manage edge computing-capable network services like AT&T FlexWare. This gives them more flexibility and control of their networking services."
