A new family fun centre opens at Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne County

offering families over 15 different sports in a purpose-built indoor sports park.

Just in time for the festive season, Tuolumne County is preparing to open the doors this December to a brand new, purpose-built, family fun centre at Black Oak Casino. The new indoor sports park, titled “Elevate” is scheduled to open on Wednesday 20 December 2023 and will offer families visiting the region even more opportunities to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Activities will cater to all ages and consist of a Trampoline Park, Xtreme Dodgeball, Aerostrike, Head2Head, Battle Beam with Airbag, Airbag Pit, Ninja Course, Softplay, Slick Slide, Axe Throwing, Batting cages, golf simulators and more.

Situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills, visitors to the park can also enjoy a leisurely dip in the outdoor pool, a series of trails and hikes in the local area varying in length and difficulty, swing at the Teleli Golf Course, go for the jackpot on one of over 1,100 slot machines in the casino, park up at the adjoining RV Park or opt for comfort and stay at THE HOTEL. Offering 148 spacious rooms and suites, the hotel is a perfect base for adventure and exploring Tuolumne County. There are also four on-site restaurants to choose from, a coffee shop with light bites and two full-service bars. And, every weekend the venue provides free live music performances.

Tuolumne County is located two hours east of the San Francisco Bay area and made up of three distinct areas including the gold country, High Sierra and the lion’s share of Yosemite National Park with over 50%.

Nearby attractions to the new sports park include the historic gold rush town of Jamestown, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park offering visitors a glimpse into the county’s historic past with locomotives, Columbia State Historic Park where visitors can experience real life history and Pinecrest Lake. Here visitors can continue an active lifestyle with swimming, kayaking, hiking around the lake, paddle-boarding and boating options. Further afield, lies Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias.

Tuolumne County is ideal for travellers seeking an adventure in nature and the road-less travelled for those wishing to experience the wonders of Yosemite National Park.
