Club Med announces the grand re-opening of Club Med Phuket, Thailand

After extensive renovations, Club Med Phuket, located on the beach of Kata Bay in Thailand, reopens. Kata Bay is known for its pure white sands, crystal clear waters and palm lined beaches – among the finest in the world. One of the most globally recognized brands, Club Med is renowned for its resorts in the most picturesque locations on earth, with more than 80 resorts in 25 countries. Each of Club Med’s extraordinary resorts reflects the unique culture found in its location, with Phuket providing guests a truly unique Thai experience.

Club Med Phuket’s extensive renovation was themed "Magic of Lights." This theme is derived from Thailand’s annual Yi Peng Festival where locals make lanterns out of thin fabric and attach a candle allowing for thousands of lanterns to float through the sky. The transformation included the lobby, main restaurant, bar, lounge and Club Med Spa by Payot, in addition to many other unique features for guests to enjoy.

Phuket offers several levels of spacious accommodations, including suites, deluxe rooms and superior rooms all inspired by Thai customs with hues of red and gold. Room categories can accommodate families and couples comfortably. The resort also features three pools, a new Zen infinity pool exclusively for adults located on the far east of the resort, providing a spectacular view of Karon Bay, as well as one just for kids. Guests can experience the value of a Club Med all-inclusive escape where everything is included in one convenient price. Gourmet dining prepared by international chefs featuring local specialties and a full open bar with premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available throughout the day.

Phuket is the ideal family resort offering supervision and exciting activities for children from 4 months to 17 years of age, with Baby Club Med, Petit Club Med, Mini Club Med and Club Med Passworld, an exclusive place for teens to hang out. Children four to 10 years old have the opportunity to participate in the Clean Art Planet project, which creates environmental awareness by allowing them to create art from items that wash ashore from the sea. As part of Petit Club Med®, children experience nature walks, learning farms, storytelling and gym sessions. New activities for teenagers include theatre, film, dance and sound mixing.

Guests of Phuket can enjoy land and water sports both on and off-site from the flying trapeze and golf for all levels on championship courses to snorkeling and world-class scuba diving in the Andaman Sea. Club Med also offers once in a lifetime experiences with excursions such as eco-adventures in tropical forests, elephant safaris and visits to the legendary Phi Phi Islands.

Club Med Phuket also boasts a redesigned Club Med Spa by Payot creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for guests. The dedicated wellness area has six individual treatment rooms, six dual treatment rooms, two Turkish baths and a Jacuzzi.
